Is it possible to use virt-v2v a guest from Vmware GSX Server to RHEV ?
Issue
-
I'm following https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/V2V_Guide/subsect-convert-a-esx-guest.html to set up automatic login for virt-v2v using
.netrcbut it's not working. -
Our VMWare server is GSX.
-
When providing username/password manually in virsh connecting works.
# virt-v2v -ic gsx://vmware.example.com:8333?no_verify=1 -o rhev -os nfs.export.com:/export_domain -network dev vmname
virt-v2v: Failed to connect to gsx://vmware.example.com:8333?no_verify=1: libvirt error code: 45, message: authentication failed: Username request failed
# ls -l .netrc
-rw-------. 1 root root 52 22. apr 15:12 .netrc
# cat .netrc
machine 192.168.x.x login root password secret
Environment
