[JON] JBoss EAP 5 Shut Down operation doesn't execute shut down when EAP availability is UNKNOWN or DOWN or when EAP can not be reached

Issue

  • JON doesn't execute Server Restart after OutOfMemoryError Alert
  • Automatic restart operation doesn't work
  • OutOfMemoryError alert with restart does not restart the JBoss EAP instance
  • Unable to shut down EAP server when server is unreachable
  • The shut down operation results in the following response message: The server is already shut down.
  • Only the start operation is performed when a restart is executed

Environment

  • JBoss Operations Network (JON) 2.4.1, 2.4.2, 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.1.0
  • JBoss AS 5 plug-in
  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 5
  • JBoss AS 5 server has an availability of DOWN or UNKNOWN
  • The Shut Down or Restart operation has been invoked manually or by an Alert Definition Notification
