Why does updating openssl to openssl-1.0.1e-30.el6_6.9.x86_64 version, breaks MySQL connection over SSL?
Issue
-
The openssl-1.0.1e-30.el6_6.9.x86_64 patched on the slave/client systems breaks MySQL connections over SSL fail to the master/server side (whether or not the patch has been applied on the master).
-
MySQL replication breaks. Manual connections from the command line client with SSL options also fail. The error reported by MySQL is "Last_IO_Errno: 2026".
-
Reverting back to openssl-1.0.1e-30.el6_6.8.x86_64 on the slave/client system, MySQL connections over SSL work again.
