rgmanager segfaults during or shortly after initialization with "error 4 in rgmanager[400000+30000]" in a RHEL 6 High Availability cluster

Issue

  • rgmanager segfaults after it finishes initializating services:
Jun  2 04:15:55 node5 rgmanager[58689]: Services Initialized
Jun  2 04:15:55 node5 kernel: rgmanager[58689]: segfault at 0 ip 00000000004095e3 sp 00007fffa535fe40 error 4 in rgmanager[400000+30000]
  • rgmanager segfaults with EINTR in dispatch_msg
  • rgmanager is crashing repeatedly whenever I start a node

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • rgmanager
  • modclusterd running, or someone running clustat manually while nodes are starting
