Horizon fails at creating new projects

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We are currently facing an issue with our OpenStack installation. We are not able to create projects through Horizon anymore. It fails with the following error :
'Quota value(s) cannot be less than the current usage value(s): 3 Instances used.'

It is perfectly working through the keystone command line. The issue is not happening to all the admins, it seems that it is related with the resources consumed by the admin himself doing the project creation.

  • Unable to create new projects if the admin project consumes more resources than the new projects quotas allow.

Environment

  • Red Hat Open Stack
  • python-django-horizon-2014.2.1-5.el7ost.noarch
