No SNMP trap is sent by foghorn whenever a node is fenced in a RHEL 6 High Availability cluster

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • We're trying to send some snmp traps with foghorn to our monitoring server. It seems to be well configured, since when a service status changes a D-Bus message is created, foghorn listens to it and sends the trap. The thing is that on fence events no trap is sent,.
  • I can't get the cluster to send an SNMP trap when a node gets fenced
  • I've configured snmptrapd to log events and to run a script upon receiving a REDHAT-FENCE-MIB::fenceNotifyFenceNode trap, but it never receives one when SELinux is enforcing.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • cman-based cluster
  • foghorn
  • SELinux policy is enforcing
