ip resource "Failed to ping <address>" randomly after it has been running for some time in a RHEL 5 or 6 High Availability cluster
Issue
- My cluster service was running fine for a long time, and then failed randomly. It showed the
ipfailed toping
May 25 09:23:42 node1 clurgmgrd: [25742]: <warning> Failed to ping 10.10.10.5
May 25 09:23:42 node1 clurgmgrd[25742]: <notice> status on ip "10.10.10.5" returned 1 (generic error)
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 or 6 with the High Availability Add On
rgmanager- One or more
<ip/>resources in/etc/cluster/cluster.conf
