Why many of the PIDs in tasks file under cgroup relate to processes which are no longer running ?
Issue
- Why many of the PIDs in tasks file under
/cgrouprelate to processes which are no longer running ? - PIDs related to stopped processes should be automatically removed from the tasks file in
cgroup. - Is this an expected behaviour that PID which does not exist shows under
cgrouptask ? cgrouptasks file is not emptied whencgroupservice is stopped.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- cgroup
