System runs out of memory (OOM) without any process running except the basics
Issue
System reports running out of memory even if system has sufficient physical memory and only basic processes are started
Out of memory: Kill process 985 (rc) score 1 or sacrifice child
Swap is available but not being used.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- hugepages configured
