Printing using CUPS in RHEL not identical between 1st and 2nd page

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

When printing a pdf file, 1st page is printing as designed (margin, header, footer etc). The 2nd page and the rest are offset vertically by about 1 line higher. This causes printing on pre-printed paper to go out of alignment. The print command used is: "lp -d <printername> <filename>" The printer model is an HP LaserJet p2035n.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
  • Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) 1.4.2
  • HP LaserJet p2035n or HP LaserJet p3015 printer models
