Is vcmp present in anaconda installation image while installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 on zLinux?

Issue

  • Running into an issue with setting VOLSER via Anaconda.
  • Have set up a %pre section in kicstart configuration file which attempts to format all DASD, but cannot seem to read VOLSER if the DASD has not been previously formatted. Outside of the install image, can read VOLSER using vmcp, but vmcp does not appear to be available on the install image.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.6
  • zLinux
