Anaconda does not force to set root password if normal system user is set as administrator

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Anaconda installer does not force to set root password if normal user is created as administrator.
  • After installation, we need root password if we need to boot the system into maintenance mode.
  • For example, if we get "Clt+D" error while booting the system, we need to provide root password to enter into maintenance mode.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.X
  • anaconda-19.31.79-1.el7.x86_64.rpm
