JVM fails to start : 'Incompatible minimum and maximum heap sizes specified'

Issue

  • JBoss is not starting with below JVM options :
 JAVA_OPTS:  -server -verbose:gc -Xloggc:"/jboss-eap-6.3/standalone/log/gc.log" -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCDateStamps -XX:+UseGCLogFileRotation -XX:NumberOfGCLogFiles=5 -XX:GCLogFileSize=3M -XX:-TraceClassUnloading -Xms2048m -Xmx4094 -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -Djboss.modules.system.pkgs=org.jboss.byteman -Djava.awt.headless=true -Djboss.modules.policy-permissions=true

While starting JBoss , facing below error :

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Incompatible minimum and maximum heap sizes specified
