On systems running ptp4l, is there anything else needs to be done to keep the time synced with regards to the leap second event?
Issue
- Can you please confirm: on systems running
ptp4l
, is there anything else needs to be done to keep the time synced? - As per the Red Hat Leap Second Article for June 30,2015, "...
ptp4l
andphc2sys
will set the kernel flag to insert a leap second ...". However it's not clear howptp4l/phc2sys
will get the leap second information. Does/etc/localtime
ortzdata
need to be updated to contain the latest leap second for the reference ofptp4l/phc2sys
?
