Want TX and RX power results(dBm) of a connection to the SAN

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (All versions)

Issue

  • Need to measure the power (dBm) on HBA ports.

Resolution

  • Kernel doesn't have the functionality to measure the power level(dBm) on the HBA ports. It can be done via Optical Power Meter or OTDR meter.
  • We can just check the online/offline status of HBA ports.
