Resolution

  • While generating manifest for Red Hat Satellite v 6 it is not necessary to attach the Satellite subscription.

  • From the section 'Satellite' of Subscription Management Applications select the profile name which was used to generate manifest, remove the Satellite subscription and refresh the profile.

  • Re-register the Satellite server system following the article How do I re-register Satellite 6?.

Root Cause

  • Profile created to generate manifest for Red Hat Satellite v 6 was consuming the Satellite subscription.
