RHEV Manager shows a lower number of CPUs for hypervisors than expected

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Hosts show roughly half the number of CPUs.
  • Hosts show the total number of physical cores instead of showing the total of the physical and logical cores.
  • Unable to migrate VMs after upgrading vdsm.
  • Hyperthreading is enabled on my RHEV hosts. How do I ensure it's enabled in the RHEV-M?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3
  • vdsm-4.9-112.12.el6_2 and later
