Why does rpm verification report wrong results on /etc/krb5.conf file?

Issue

  • Why does rpm verification report wrong results on /etc/krb5.conf file?
  • Every time, it returns the following output irrespective of the changes made to the file.
[root@localhost ~]# rpm -Vv krb5-libs-1.10.3-33.el6.x86_64 | grep conf$
.........  c /etc/krb5.conf
  • Is there any special case with this file?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.6
  • krb5-libs
