EAP 6 rollover log file size exceeds the configured setting in rotateSize

Issue

I have a rolling file appender and the size of the files when it's rolled over is not bigger than the configured value for rotateSize
I am using the PeriodicSizeRotatingFileHandler and find that the size of the rotated log is larger than what was set as the rotateSize . Why are the log files not equal to the configured value?
