Override LoginServlet in portal extension

Issue

  • We have developed our custom identity repository with support for smart card login using an X509 certificate.
    For this to work we need to change the LoginServlet.
    In addition to this we have developed a portal extension.
    Is it possible to override the LoginServlet in our portal extension? For obvious reasons I prefer not to change the /portal.war/WEB-INF/web.xml.
