Listing files and directories on an NFS share only shows a portion of the expected directories that are actually on the share when querying a NetApp Filer.

Issue

  • When listing files and directories located on an NFS share via the client only a portion of the expected files and directories is actually listed. The rest of the files and directories will appear to be missing.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4
  • NFS server provided by NetApp Filer
  • Kernel version < 2.6.18-164.6.1.el5
