Setting maxlogins in /etc/security/limits.conf does not cleanup /var/run/utmp in RHEL 5.4
Issue
- Setting maxlogins in /etc/security/limits.conf seems to not cleanup /var/run/utmp. Users that are not logged in and do not have any processes open on the system are not allowed to login.
