Business Central should allow users to search for a process instance by the process instance Id

Issue

  • Users like to start a BPMN2 workflow using the Rest API of Business Central. After starting the process instance they get the processInstanceID as part of response which users can store the same reference within their application for future references.
    Further, as part of troubleshooting users also check the status of the workflow via Business Central. However, there is no capability to search using Business Central ProcessManagement -> Process Instances view using a process instance Id. Users normally have to scroll past pages if they have started many number of active processes instances. This is a tedious task and users would like to see a search capability in Business Central which can help them search the desired process instances quickly using processInstanceId . Is there a feature lined up for future releases?
