nfs: server <hostname> not responding ("timeo" option is set too low for NFS/TCP)
Issue
- NFS client takes long time to access NFS shares
- "server not responding" messages on the NFS client, although the NFS server is up and running.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- NFSv3 over TCP
- Custom "timeo" and "retrans" mount options were specified
- DVD-ROM is exported over NFS
