mod_cluster does not send DISABLE_APP or STOP_APP at shutdown, causing 503s and 404s

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • mod_cluster does not send DISABLE_APP or STOP_APP at shutdown. It just does a REMOVE-APP when the app shutdown completes. This is allowing for 503s and 404s since requests are routed to the node while the app is undeploying.

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprsie Application Platform (EAP) 6.3.2 and earlier
