Environment

Red Hat Satellite 6.0

Issue

  • Unable to update, modify, delete Puppet Class in Red Hat Satellite 6 WebUI if the name contains a period.
  • Recieve error when selecting a Puppet Class: The page you were looking for doesn't exist.
  • Error: undefined method 'json?' for nil:NilClass

Resolution

A private Bugzilla #1172260 has been created to resolve this and it will be addressed in a future release.

As a workaround, do not create Puppet Classes with names containing periods.

Root Cause

There is a bug displaying the page for the Puppet Class when the Puppet Class name contains a period "."
