Not able to use process variable name which contains DOT('.') in BPMS/BRMS 6

Issue

When we try to create process variable which contains DOT('.'), build fails with exception in BRMS 6.0.1 release.

ERROR [org.drools.compiler.kie.builder.impl.AbstractKieModule] (http-/127.0.0.1:8080-6) Unable to build KieBaseModel:defaultKieBase
ProcessLoadError: unable to parse xml : Exception class java.lang.NullPointerException : null

Resolution

  • This issue is resolved in latest release'(6.0.3)'.In latest release we can use process and task variable which contains DOT'(.)', upgrading to latest BRMS/BPMS version is recommended by Red Hat. In latest release may issues are fixed as compared to 6.0.1 release.
