Is there any custom packaging options available with JBoss Fuse ?

Issue

  • Today 3 versions of the JBoss Fuse packaging are available from RedHat: minimal, medium and max (full).
  • For a new project, we would need to build a custom packaging of JBoss Fuse that would only include what we require to work. The aim is twofold:
    • Reduce the number of dependencies on external libraries to limit the need of providing patches (in case of security issue for example)
    • Reduce the size of the packaging
  • We would only need Karaf, CXF and some other dependencies.
  • Like FuseESB is there a way available in Fuse to build a custom packaging? Would we still be covered by RedHat support ? Is there any easy pointer or documentation available ?
