My second oracle instance is failing to start when attempting to use a single listener name in both orainstance configurations

Issue

After updating rgmanager, my second oracle instance using orainstance.sh fails to start. When I check the oracle logs, it appears that the specified listener is failing to start, because it's the same as the listener for the first oracle instance. This configuration worked before the update. Why has it now started failing?
