fence_ilo2 fails with 'Unable to connect/login to fencing device' after updating to iLO firmware version 2.27 or later on a RHEL 6 or 7 High Availability cluster node
Issue
- Fencing with
fence_ilo2fails after updating iLO firmware to version 2.27 - When I run
fence_ilo2from the command line, it reports "Unable to connect/login to fencing device" with no other details. - After I updated our iLO firmware, nodes can't fence each other.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 or 7 with the High Availability Add On
- All
fence-agentsreleases in RHEL 6, and allfence-agents-ilo2releases in RHEL 7- Using
fence_ilo2for fencing
- Using
- Cluster nodes running on HP servers with iLO devices for fencing
- iLO using firmware version 2.27 or later
