How to prevent vulnerabilities related to Xorg server in Red Hat Enterprise Linux?
Issue
- vulnerability scanning tool is showing warning related to X11 for the production server.
- Why Xorg server is listening on port 6000 ?
The remote host is running an X11 server. X11 is a client-server protocol that can be used to display graphical applications running on a given host on a remote client.
Since the X11 traffic is not ciphered, it is possible for an attacker to eavesdrop on the connection.
- Is there any way to prevent this warning from vulnerability scanning tool for RHEL?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (All versions)
- xorg-x11-server-Xorg
