Why RT3290 chip based wireless NICs which uses "rt2800pci"driver module fails to get loaded with missing firmware error in RHEL6?
Issue
- I have following wireless network adapter:
Network Controller: Ralink corp RT3290 Wireless 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe
- The NIC doesn't detect wifi and fails to get loaded with missing firmware message.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)6.5.
- Ralink corp RT3290 Wireless NICs.
