Is it fine to disable txn-recovery-environment and txn-status-manager in EAP 6 ?

Issue

There are port entries for txn-recovery-environment and txn-status-manager in the configuration. They do not show up in a netstat -alnTp when running EAP. How do I know if it's safe to disable from configuration?
