Why are my LVM commands are failing in rescue mode?
Issue
- LVM commands in RHEL 5 rescue environment are failing with following error message. The same error message is not observed when running lvm commands in RHEL 6 rescue mode.

pvdisplay: relocation error: pvdisplay: symbol dm_zalloc_aux, version Base not defined in file libdevmapper.so.1.02 with link time reference
