Replication fails with "Data required to update replica has been purged. The replica must be reinitialized"
Issue
Replication fails/stops with the following messages seen in /var/log/dirsrv/slapd-INSTANCE/errors:

[31/May/2012:15:30:37 -0400] NSMMReplicationPlugin - agmt="cn=<a class="make_room_for_kcs" href="http://sub.example.com" target="_blank">sub.example.com</a>" (M1-W1:389): Data required to update replica has been purged. The replica must be reinitialized.
