Issue

Different shell scripts are causing intermittent core dumps. The issue is not consistent but once it appears the core files will be produced until the file system fills up.
Process /bin/ksh93 was killed by signal 11 when making call using /bin/ksh from DB2/GPFS.
We have random ksh93 core dumps when running shell scripts. These core dumps are mainly observed when function calls another function in $( ) or when function runs system tool (e.g. /usr/bin/id) in $( ) to catch its output.
