SELinux prevents collectd to send data to a remote TCP port
Issue
- our custom collectd package worked fine for rhel 6.5 installations. it was running unconfined.
- after updating to rhel 6.6 collectd is suddenly blocked by selinux while sending data to a tcp port.
- it turns out that in 6.6 there is a collectd selinux module that wasnt there in rhel 6.5
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.6
