Why are there more CPUs than expected in /proc/cpuinfo?
Issue
- System has 2 quad-core processors installed, but 16 cores are appearing in
/proc/cpuinfo. Where are the other 8 coming from?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5
- Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X7350 @ 2.93GHz processor
