How do I get Piranha LVS to failover to the backup router?

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • Actually my objective was to test switching from active to standby and vice versa. When I was testing the same it was not switching over. For testing what I did is :
    • login the active LB's GUI and tried to change the primary public IP but unable to edit.
    • then i opened the /etc/sysconfig/ha/lvs.cf file and changed both primary and secondary pubilc IP
    • scp the file to existing standby server and restarted the pulse service on both server
    • I checked using #ipvsadm -L in both server i cannot find the connections
    • But the Virtual IPs displayed in the existing standby server (which I want to convert to active)
    • Then I waited for some time still both are not active so I rolled back to the existing.
