Disabling SSLv3 on httpd causes error Unable to configure permitted SSL ciphers

Issue

  • When tried to disable SSLv3 on httpd web server, it failed with following errors.
SSLProtocol All -SSLv2 -SSLv3    
SSLCipherSuite ALL:!ADH:RC4+RSA:+HIGH:+MEDIUM:!LOW:!SSLv2:!SSLv3:!EXPORT
  • Here is the error:

[Tue Nov 25 21:12:49 2014] [error] SSL Library Error: 336646329 error:1410D0B9:SSL routines:SSL_CTX_set_cipher_list:no cipher match
