- Why does the 'lvs' command warns about "Internal error: Using string as sort value for numerical field" ?
- lvs command throws the following message ,

Resolution
Update lvm2* package(s) if device-mapper* packages have been updated on the server.
Root Cause
The error "Internal error: Using string as sort value for numerical field" is usually seen when the device-mapper* packages are updated on the server. The messages are because of the patch added to catch invalid use of string sort values when reporting numerical fields.
