Issue

After patching kernel should have been updated to kernel-2.6.18-398.el5 but even after reboot, system is using older kernel

# uname -a
Linux hostname 2.6.18-274.el5 #1 SMP Fri Jul 8 17:36:59 EDT 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

System was updated from satellite server using yum.
grub.conf does not have any entries for the new kernel.
