Is it possible to skip creating separate /boot partition on UEFI based installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6?

  • Installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 on UEFI based hardware (UEFI enabled)
  • The installer by default creates /boot/efi as first partition and /boot as second one and remaining for /.
  • Is it possible to skip creating /boot as a separate partition? Can system run when /boot is just a directory under / in UEFI enabled system?
