What is fence_pcmk and how should it be configured in a RHEL 6 High Availability cluster with cman and pacemaker?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • What is fence_pcmk?
  • I see fence_pcmk as the agent in the fence device for each node in /etc/cluster/cluster.conf after configuring the cluster with pcs cluster setup. Should I replace this with the correct fence agents?
  • Where do I configure the fence devices for my nodes with pacemaker in RHEL 6? In /etc/cluster/cluster.conf, or in the cib using pcs?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • pacemaker
