Issue

  • gnome-screensaver will not unlock with correct password with below error messages:
unix_chkpwd[7449]: check pass; user unknown
unix_chkpwd[7449]: password check failed for user (suser)
gnome-screensaver-dialog: pam_unix(gnome-screensaver:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=500 euid=500 tty=:0.0 ruser= rhost=  user=suser
gnome-screensaver-dialog: gkr-pam: unlocked 'login' keyring
