"Unable to instantiate JAXBContext for deployment" during kjar deployment

Issue

During deployment of a kjar into the business-central following error appears in the UI:

Deployment of unit com.group:jaxb-error:1.24 failed: Unable to instantiate JAXBContext for deployment 'com.group:jaxb-error:1.24'.

There are no errors in the server.log file.
This issue seems to be related to the articale Project build fails with "JAXB can't handle interfaces." in BRMS/BPMS but there are no interfaces in the deployment unit.
