Issue

I have assign SR-IOV VF PCI passthru device to RHEL6.4 guest
Initially the guest system was not booting with passthru device
After that i added pci=nomsi option to GRUB kernel like and system booted successfully
But after running ifup <device> the system become unresponsive

Environment

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 (kernel-2.6.32-358.el6)
VMware VM
SR-IOV Virtual Function passed thru to RHEL guest
Intel network interface using ixgbevf Virtual Function driver
