Resolution

  • IBM Storage Driver

    • The IBM Storage Driver for OpenStack supports the IBM XIV and DS8000 storage systems.
    • IBM Storage Driver ([IBM Storage Driver for OpenStack 1.3.1.1 (ISCSI/FC)]) can be obtained from IBM fix-central. It has been tested and validated with Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Enterprise Platform version 5 based on Icehouse.
    • This version of driver provides support for Cinder Volume, Snapshots, Volume Cloning, Volume Image Creation, Volume Type, Multiple backend API.
    • This version of driver does not provide support for Cinder Quality of Service API.
    • host_attach-2.3.0-2093.x86_64 package needs to be installed on the environment.

  • Supportability
    Support for IBM Storage Driver is provided directly by IBM, including support of the additional package host_attach-2.3.0-2093.x86_64 will be provided by IBM, specified by Red Hat's support policy for third-party software.
