Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Unable to autostart mysql database after changing the default database location
  • When I disabled SELinux the database is able to start without issues.
  • However when SELinux is in enforcing mode, getting below errors in /var/log/messages:
/usr/sbin/mysqld: File '/mysql/tx_logs/mysql-bin.index' not found (Errcode: 13)

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5
  • selinux-policy
  • mysql
