Why does --depth and --resolution doesn't work on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 kickstart?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • Trying to build a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 workstation using a kickstart profile.
  • During installation anaconda doesn't seem to accept the --depth , --resolution and monitor kickstart parameters.
  • The kickstart file contains the following two problematic lines.
xconfig --defaultdesktop=GNOME --depth=24 --resolution=1280x1024 --startxonboot
monitor --monitor="ViewSonic VP201b"
  • Are these parameters removed from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 kickstart process?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0
  • anaconda
